I had a class project this past week to complete a series of art work. I wanted to create a narration with my work using characters i designed earlier. Each character has wings, yet the wings get bigger when the person is closest to the ground. Its a study on our dependence on religion and how most people only look to faith in times of need.
This one i was just havin fun. It started off as a doodle in one of my classes (sad to say its the last class in a ten hour school day so i doodle ALOT). The design was working out well so i added the finishing touches later that night. Its a base design for what i want hell to look like in a series i'm working on (<-- more pics/info will be uploaded soon). i was thinking of Icarus a lot when i was sketching the set. Him and Lucifer share similar stories, they got close to god and were burned in the process. The mountains give a feeling of locking people in. They are arced up to tower the individual in to let them know they will only get hurt the high they fly. The sky was suppose to be almost a blank grayish-black scape. I didn't want to add clouds or anything but the sky is the seems to be the one thing i need to work on alot.
